Another Democrat Behaving Badly

Are You Better Off Now?

The Democratic Party is trying to dig up all kinds of dirt on GOP candidates across the country.  There is no surprise here, since the Party has become an extension of Chicago-style politics.  The GOP must keep their cool amid these political fishing expeditions and ask voters if they are better off now than two years ago.  Remember two years ago?  All that hope and change?  Where is it?

Dems Probe Private Companies

House Dems are asking private insurance companies for employee’s salary data and schedules containing information regarding corporate retreats.

Privacy seems not to exist with this bunch of Democrats and this is nothing more than a witch hunt being funded by the taxpayers of the US in an attempt to vilify the insurance industry.

Supermajority?

Sixty votes in the Senate?  Not so fast.   There aren’t 60 Democrats in the United States Senate.  There are actually 58 Democrats and 2 Democratic caucusing Independents (Sanders and Lieberman).  Senator Kennedy and Senator Byrd are facing ill health and both can’t be considered sure locks for Democratic votes if they aren’t in the chamber.  But there’s more… add into the mix approximately 6 moderate/conservative Democrats and a handful of others who like to be “independent” and that magical 60 looks closer to fifty-something.  It’s still a majority, but not quite as super.

Change? Not Unless It’s 1992

Familiar faces aplenty will grace the Obama cabinet.  If you’re looking for fresh faces, look elsewhere.  Here’s a rundown:

New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson – Bill Clinton’s Energy Secretary and UN Delegate.  He’s been mentioned as a possible Secretary of Commerce.

Sen. Hillary Clinton – Former first spouse and potential Secretary of State.

Lawrence Summers – Former Secretary of Treasury under Clinton.  It looks like he’ll be tapped for the same position under Obama Obama’s chief economic advisor.

Rahm Emanuel – Obama’s Chief of Staff had been an adviser to President Clinton.

Eric Holder – Formerly a Clinton Deputy Attorney General and on tap for the top job at the Department of Justice.

Onward

It appears that Barack Obama will become the 44th President of the United States, thus opening a socialist era of the American experience.  Goldwater/Reagan realizes how important it is to provide Americans with a place for small government conservatives, and we’ll pride ourselves on becoming THE place for preeminent small government conservative thought.

We’ll double our efforts to bring to you all the news, politics and commentary you need as we venture into a new, dark era of American government.  We strive to be your source for light in a dark time.

Besides Obama, we’ll expose Congress and their exploits.  We’ll remain vigilant while the Democrats toil away with your money.

Stay tuned…the best is yet to come.

Congress Investigating Commercials

Congress is looking into a commercial that features Dr. Robert Jarvik rowing down a lake.  The atrocity?  A stunt double was used in said commercial.  Somebody let Guantanamo Bay know there may be some ad executives joining the ranks.

What HillaryCare Means

Be afraid…be very afraid.  No, Hillary’s plan isn’t universal or socialist–she’ll just take your hard earned money if you don’t voluntarily sign up.

WASHINGTON – Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton said Sunday she might be willing to garnish the wages of workers who refuse to buy health insurance to achieve coverage for all Americans.

The New York senator has criticized presidential rival Barack Obama for pushing a health plan that would not require universal coverage. Clinton has not always specified the enforcement measures she would embrace, but when pressed on ABC’s “This Week,” she said: “I think there are a number of mechanisms” that are possible, including “going after people’s wages, automatic enrollment.” MORE

Kinsley on Libertarians

An interesting read of the future of the GOP and what Micheal Kinsley calls “Libertarians”.  Admittedly, he uses broad strokes in his writing and I can’t agree with everything, but it does provide a valid conclusion.

Will the Christian Conservative Movement Derail the GOP in ’08?

religion_17.gifIt looks like a group of conservative Christians are considering backing a third-party candidate if Rudy Giuliani is the 2008 GOP nominee.  Could this splinter the Republican Party?  Depending on who this mystery candidate is, we may be ushering in a Democrat in 2008.  Then we all lose.
